Phantom of the Opera TAN fundraiser

Friends of the Triangle AIDS Network will come together Thursday, Nov. 5, for Paint the Town Red, the major annual community fund-raiser that benefits the non-profit organization.
“The Phantom of the Opera” is the theme of the 2009 event, which benefits persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families throughout Hardin, Jefferson and Orange counties.
Since Hurricane Ike forced cancellation of Paint the Town Red in 2008 – just two years after Hurricane Rita dealt a similar blow in 2005 – TAN has struggled to meet needs of its clients and to provide education, medical care and other vital services.
The gala is back and better than ever, with the promise of decor, food and atmosphere in keeping with the “Phantom” theme. Festivities at the Beaumont Country Club begin at 6:30 p.m. with a champagne-cocktail, reception, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction.The live auction begins at 7:15 p.m., with a buffet at 8 p.m. and the live auction to resume after dinner.
