Cycle Sluts from Hell

Seeking to expand the guidelines for female heavy metal bands during the hair metal era, the short-lived Cycle Sluts From Hell proved that both genders could tackle the same expected metal subject matter with equal zeal -- partying with the opposite sex, rocking, and fast cars. Comprised of four bandmembers who went by aliases (such as She-Fire of Ice and Venus Penis Crusher, among others), it is rumored that a member or two of N.Y.C. thrash metallists Overkill lent a hand with the songwriting and played on the group's one and only album, their 1991 self-titled debut for Epic Records. Although the group received limited airplay on MTV's Headbanger's Ball program during their short time together, the Cycle Sluts From Hell received more exposure a few years down the road when Beavis & Butthead dusted off their video clip for the track "I Wish You Were a Beer." ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
